EcoChange meeting in Zurich

Lisa Bohunovsky and Sigrid Grünberger attended an EcoChange project meeting in Zurich. The aim of the project is to assess and forecast changes in terrestrial biodiversity and ecosystems and in the ability of biodiversity and ecosystems to supply goods and services and to buffer against climate and land use change.

Amongst other issues, the Zurich meeting touched on the very tricky question how to implement and process data deriving from various models in the Integrated Sustainability Assessment (led by SERI) and the Agent Based Modelling in order to assess the impacts of environmental change on ecosystem goods and services.  Moreover the topic of adequately communicating the results at the science-policy interface was addressed.

More information on the project is available at the project website.
