RESCUE launched by the European Science Foundation

The European Science Foundation has launched a new Forward Look “Responses to Environmental and Societal Challenges for our Unstable Earth” (RESCUE). The project aims to address the societal and scientific challenges related to global environmental change, including its human dimensions, and to stimulate an integrated response from natural, social and human sciences. Through its analyses and recommendations, RESCUE intends to enable the scientific community, together with other actors and key stakeholders, to develop medium to long-term strategies for future research activities and applications. Jill Jäger leads the RESCUE Working Group on “The Science-Policy Interface”. The RESCUE launching event took place in Rueil-Malmaison, west of Paris, on 10-11 September.
